The 30th District Democrats invite and encourage community members across our district to consider stepping up and running for Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) in your neighborhood.
If you are already involved in Democratic politics, this is your opportunity to take the next step—play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Party and help elect Democrats at every level of the ballot.
Serving as a PCO is one of the most important roles within our Party. PCOs are on the front lines of our democracy—helping elect leaders up and down the ballot, from local School Board races to the State Legislature and beyond.
As a PCO, you serve as a trusted point of contact for voters in your precinct, helping connect neighbors to information, resources, and the Democratic Party.
PCOs also play a critical role in shaping the future of our Party by participating in the election of local, county, and state party leadership. In addition, PCOs help fill legislative vacancies in the State House and State Senate when they arise.
To be eligible to run for PCO, you must:
Be at least 18 years old by the August Primary Election
Be a registered voter in Washington State
Filing week is May 4th through May 8th. If you’re interested in serving your community and strengthening our local democracy, I encourage you to file and run.
You can learn more and file your candidacy through the Washington State Secretary of State’s Office during the filing window. - https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/candidates/filing-resources/file-office
Our communities are strongest when neighbors step up to lead. I hope you’ll consider becoming a Democratic PCO.
